The UAS PR-65 Deluxe started out as a modified Princeton Reverb, which was essentially a Princeton preamp married with Deluxe Reverb power section with an emphasis on having enough clean headroom and power to keep up in a full band scenario.
Since then the preamp has been modified with a more mid forward voicing and tighter bottom end, with a smoother overdrive and a more refined overall frequency response with a nod towards the late 70’s Dumble ODS. The versatile preamp section includes a gain structure switch via a push pull switch on the volume control as well as a mid boost via a push pull switch on the mid control. Allowing anything from pristine clean to bluesy, rock overdrive and a smooth transition from clean to drive, with a wide dynamic response.
There is also a 2 way negative feedback switch on the rear of the amp for even more versatility in dialling in the amount of saturation in the power amp. Topped off with a tube driven spring reverb allowing for anything from subtle ambience to lush surfy verb and a Master volume that allows for lower bedroom level playing and also more control of the overall gain staging of the amp, giving control over how hard you hit the output section of the amp and allowing you to dial in exactly how much phase inverter distortion you desire.
Finished in a beautiful solid pine oversized Princeton cab with a 12” Eminence Red, White & Blues ceramic speaker for amazing stage projection, ensuring the amp will hold its own in any live or studio situation, without the back breaking weight usually associated with an amp that pack the kind of punch the PR-65 Deluxe delivers, making this a great grab & go option without any sacrifice.
